Kinetics of Lignin Removal from the Lignocellulosic Matrix after Ozone Transportation

This study presents a new method to remove lignin from wheat straw (lignocellulosic) using the ozonation technique. Lignocellulosic material is complex biopolymer composed of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. Apart lignin, which acts as chemical resistant, lignocellulosic main resource cellulose sugars. The reaction takes place in two-phase solid–gas fluidization stainless steel reactor. focus this paper investigate kinetics that govern removal after treatment. did not agree with experimental data until suggested model modified pseudo-second-order. results showed at higher ozone supply 150 mg min−1, surface intra-particular diffusion were most significant factors Moreover, lower 30 was only contributor towards removal.
